Find the right influencer – You know your topic (you have written an entire book on it!), do a simple search on social media to identify conversations and figure out whose voice is being heard. Follow them, check out who follows them. Read and interact on their posts, participate in conversations and within a week or so, you will have a bunch of names who are relevant to you.

Alternatively, you can use free online tools BuzzSumo, Topsy etc. that can help you identify truly influential leaders.

Build a genuine relationship with the influencer based on mutual benefits. Take time to get to know them, their quirks and strengths. An influencer who knows you will be able to promote you better.
